About

Anhelina Holembivska was born in Ukraine. Anhelina raised in a countryside where from an early age, she was captivated by the vibrant landscapes of her hometown. She spent countless hours observing and immersing herself in nature. Her desire to capture the beauty of the world on paper laid the foundation for her future career in art.

Anhelina studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Kyiv, where she was deeply influenced by both classical and contemporary Ukrainian artists. After earning her bachelor’s degree, she moved to Florence, Italy, to immerse herself in the cradle of Renaissance art. There, she furthered her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts.

Western European art has profoundly influenced her work. The floral elements from Ghirlandaio and Botticelli, the precision of the Flemish school, and the emotive qualities of 19th-century French and English painting all resonate in her compositions. At the same time, she draws inspiration from Eastern art, particularly Japanese woodblock prints. This influence is woven into her bird paintings, where she blends classical European techniques with a compositional approach inspired by Japanese aesthetics.

In Florence, Anhelina’s worldview was significantly influenced by the artists she met. Florence, a major center of contemporary realism, provided her with a vibrant community where artists exchange experiences and support each other on their creative journeys.
Anhelina continues to explore new themes and techniques.

She reflects, “In art, I find a way to capture fleeting beauty, giving it life beyond a moment.”

Anhelina is represented by Arcadia Contemporary Gallery in New York City.

Her work has been featured in various art publications and is part of private collections worldwide.
